Lacy Tests Daytona Prototype Car
June, 2005 - Ian Lacy recently spent two days at Roebling Road Raceway near Savannah, Georgia, testing a Multimatic/Robert Yates Ford Daytona Prototype car for the Cape Motorsports team, sponsored by Cooper Tires. DP cars are mid-engined sports-racing coupes powered by 5.0L V8 engines and run in the Rolex Sports Car Series, a division of Grand Am Road Racing. Despite difficult track conditions with high heat and humidity, Ian was quickly turning competitive times while working out various chassis and aerodynamic set-ups, and hopes to go on to race in the series.
